About Us

Maryborough Christian Fellowship (MCF) is a local Christian church, meeting in the 'Hope & Anchor' on Wharf Street. We form part of a national affiliation of 25 churches, with international connections in a range of other countries. At MCF we hold firmly to the 'doctrine of the Trinity, of one Triune God' - that is, one distinct and intrinsic Father, one Lord Jesus Christ and one Holy Spirit. Central to our Christian faith is our commitment to operate together in this same fellowship and unity in which the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit abide.

Our entire focus is 'the restoration of all things' as stated in Acts 3:21. We live in the firm belief that the restoration that God is doing is for individuals, families and the church. The large group of churches with whom we are affiliated began in the 'renewal' of the 1970s, and are a part of what is called the 'restoration movement'. We strongly value family life, recognizing it is richest when lived 'in Christ', and in the relational context of His church. We share a deep love for God's word and for the expression of worship in music and song, and are dedicated to sharing the biblical restoration message of Christ with others.

The overall structure of our fellowship of churches is one in which local churches, in various towns and cities, maintain active connection by sharing ministry as part of a global movement seeking the restoration of the vitality seen in the early-day church. As a fellowship of Christian people, we are flowing together in the sure and certain hope of unity. Our faith is that God is restoring the life and administration of His church such that, before the end of time, the same unity existing between the heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit will be tangibly demonstrated to the world.
